SRINAGAR, Jan. 31 -- Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Sopore and Awantipora and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesperson said on Friday.
According to the spokesperson, a police party during a naka checking at Aftab Mohallah, Warpora crossing in Sopore, intercepted two suspicious persons who attempted to flee but were apprehended. During the search, a charas-like substance was recovered from their possession. The accused were identified as Ghulam Nabi Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, and Aabid Hussain War, son of Mohammad Afzal War, both residents of Warpora, Sopore.
