TOKYO, March 28 -- Japan Customs issued the following news:

With regard to the Anti-Dumping Duty Investigation on Graphite Electrodes*1 Originating in the People's Republic of China*2, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) have decided to extend the period of investigation by three months until July 23, 2025. The purpose of this extension is to carefully review the evidence and relevant documents submitted by interested parties, while ensuring full transparency and fairness throughout the investigation process.

* Note: Graphite electrodes, in the form of poles, mainly used in electric arc furnaces to melt steel scraps with an electric current.
