On May 27, commencing at around 08:20 a.m., for approximately 20 minutes, Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru received a courtesy call from Mr. Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). The overview of the courtesy call is as follows.

At the outset, Prime Minister ISHIBA expressed his respect for UNRWA's efforts in supporting Palestine refugees and extended his condolences for the staff members who lost their lives.
