India, May 10 -- BJP MP from Medak, Raghunandan Rao, stirred controversy by calling Telangana's Nalgonda district a "hub of the Pakistani terror outfit ISI" and a centre for Left-wing extremist activities.
Speaking at a BJP event held in Nalgonda as part of the birth centenary celebrations of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Rao alleged that the roots of many terror attacks in the country can be traced back to Nalgonda. He claimed the district has become a "safe zone" for terrorists.
He further said that only the BJP is capable of confronting organisations like ISI and Left-wing extremist groups, and praised BJP workers in Nalgonda for continuing their efforts "at the cost of their lives."
