HIGH COURT OF BOMBAY AT GOA ISSUES ORDER ON INNOCENT AMAMCHUKWU UMESEGHA @ AMAMCHUKWU OKEKE, PRESENLTY LODGED IN COLVALE MODERN JAIL, COLVALE V/S STATE, AS REP. BY THE OFFICER IN CHARGE, ANTI NARCOTIC CELL, PANAJI AND ANR

GOA, India, Feb. 8 -- The High Court of Bombay at Goa issued the following order on Jan. 9:

Heard Mr Naik, learned Counsel for the applicant and Mr S. G. Bhobe, learned Public Prosecutor for the respondents.

2. Learned Counsel for the applicant submits that application is at present serving sentence in the jail in the State of Kerala which is another matter.

3. The appeal filed against the impugned judgment is already admitted. Paper book is ready. Application for suspension of sentence for grant of bail is kept pending from the year 2021. since the appeal itself is ripe for final hearing, the same shall be listed for final hearing from the week commencing from 5.2.2024.

4. Application for suspension of sentence stands disposed of.
