Nagpur/IBNS, Oct. 24 -- Washington Sundar picked seven wickets alone to lead Indias charge against New Zealand, leaving the visitors to crumble on the first day of second Test in Nagpur on Thursday.

New Zealand were bowled out for 259, thanks to Sundars 7 for 59.

Ravichandran Ashwin, the other spin bowler and an icon, picked three wickets to offer a setback to New Zealand, who won the toss and elected to bat first in the morning.

Devon Conway, who was one of three casualties of Ashwin, slammed 76 from 141 balls while Rachin Ravindra scored 65 from 105 balls.
