India, April 21 -- Vice President JD Vance and his family will arrive in India on Monday for a four-day visit to the South Asian nation, which will take place in the shadow of President Donald Trump's recent announcement of US trade tariffs.

"The Vice President of the United States of America, H.E. Mr. J.D. Vance, will pay an Official Visit to India from 21 to 24 April 2025," read a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs earlier.

This will be Vice President Vance's first visit to India.

The US vice president, along with his wife, Usha, and their three children- Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel- are scheduled to land at the Palam airbase here at 10 am on Monday.
