India, March 24 -- Former Bangladesh cricket captain Tamim Iqbal was hospitalised on Monday after he suffered a heart attack.
According to reports, the star cricketer fell ill following the toss of a Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League match at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan.
The Mohammedan Sporting Club skipper was rushed to Fazilatunnesa Hospital, where doctors confirmed he suffered two heart attacks but is now improving, BCB's chief medical officer Debashis Chowdhury told Dhaka Tribune.
Match referee Debabrata Paul, who is currently visiting the hospital, told The Daily Star newspaper: "Out of his two arteries, one is 100 percent blocked another is partially blocked."
