Exclusive: MPL Bids Adieu To Karnataka, Moves Office To Delhi Post Online Gambling Ban
India, Oct. 27 -- Fantasy sports unicorn Mobile Premier League (MPL) is shifting its registered office in Karnataka to Delhi. The move comes a few weeks post the state government's call on banning online gaming involving betting and wagering.
As per the recent regulatory filings, MPL's shareholders have approved the shifting of the company from its registered office in Bengaluru's Hobli to Delhi's Barakhamba Road.
The development comes days after the company pulled the plug on its operations in Karnataka. The company was one of the first fantasy sports platforms to have shut down its operations post the state's ban.
