Apple CEO Tim Cook To Visit India As Apple Store, Ecommerce Plans Hit By Delay
India, Jan. 29 -- US-based global premium smartphone maker Apple had committed to invest INR 1,000 Cr in India to set up its first online retail platform and open three company-owned stores across major cities in the next two to three years.
The first store in Mumbai was expected to be launched in the first quarter, however, the company has now reportedly delayed this plan to Q3 2020. An ET report citing senior industry executives said Apple is seeking more time to complete the backend work.
