Dhanbad, Jan. 20 -- Police have constituted a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the Pathargama firing incident involving Vandana Sah, wife of Samastipur judicial magistrate Santosh Kumar Sah and a resident of Kahalgaon, as investigators are yet to make a breakthrough in the case, officials said on Monday. According to family members, Vandana was hit by two bullets during the attack. "A team of doctors is treating her. One bullet was removed at Godda Sadar Hospital, but the second bullet is still lodged in her back. Her condition remains critical at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital (JLNMCH), Bhagalpur, where she is undergoing treatment," said her brother Balkishan, adding that the family is anxiously awaiting further medical intervention. The brother also alleged that a long-standing marital dispute may be linked to the incident. According to him, Vandana's husband, Santosh Kumar, a judicial magistrate in Samastipur, had filed a divorce case, while she had filed a maintenance petition.
