Three held for snatching cash and opening fire at villagers
BETTIAH, Dec. 14 -- Bihar's Mahuhwa police on Saturday arrested three criminals for allegedly snatching cash from a Customer Service Point (CSP) coordinator and firing indiscriminately at a place in Bihar's East Champaran, causing injuries to two villagers.
Giving the information, Raxaul sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Manish Anand said police have recovered the cash after the arrest of three criminals involved in the loot and firing case which occurred at Chandramal village under Mahuhwa police station area of East Champaran around 8pm on Friday.
"All three criminals have been apprehended. Weapons, an Apache motorcycle, the looted amount, etc. have been recovered. Further action is underway," said the sub-divisional police officer.
"Both injured persons have undergone surgery and are out of danger," he added.
Police said motorcycle-borne criminals carried out a robbery from a CSP operator. After the robbery, while fleeing, near Chandramal Chowk under Mahuwaha police station area, the criminals noticed some people standing by the roadside and suspected danger.
"At this, the criminals started indiscriminate firing. In the firing, Chandramal village residents Ramesh Kumar and Vijay Kumar were seriously injured. They were immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment," said a police officer....
