PATNA, Jan. 14 -- Three accused were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the murder of Aman Shukla, police said. Shukla, 39, who was shot dead by two unidentified assailants in the Vidyapuri locality under Patrakar Nagar police station on the evening of January 5, was the owner of a security agency and was also allegedly involved in a bank loot of Rs.52 lakh, police said. Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kartikeya Sharma said that based on technical and scientific investigation and analysis of CCTV footage, police first arrested Jitendra Kumar from Sotachak under Parsa Bazar police station. "Based on the statement of Jitendra Kumar, the second accused, Sujeet Kumar alias Sonu Kumar, was arrested from Fatehpur (Parsa Bazar), while the third accused, Dharmendra Kumar, was arrested from Bishunpura under Bihta police station," the SSP said. During interrogation, it came to light that the deceased had a serious dispute with Sonu alias Kallu, who was previously his associate, the SSP added. The incident occurred when Shukla was riding his motorcycle along with his wife and child. The assailants overtook the bike, stopped it, and opened fire at him from the front. He died on the spot.
