PATNA, Nov. 1 -- After having picked up campaigning a bit late, RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has intensified his electioneering by targetting to address as many as 17 rallies per day from Saturday so that all constituencies could be touched, sources said In the last six days after being declared CM face of INDIA bloc on October 23, Yadav, 35, has addressed 30 plus rallies, only taking a break for Chhath on October 27. "For the last few days, Tejashwi has been on a whirlwind tour, addressing at least 10 rallies per day. Earlier, he had addressed three to four rallies per day. That is almost 35 to 40 rallies so far.But from Saturday, he would be addressing 17 rallies per day by giving five to ten minutes to each rally. He would be visiting the constituencies on a chopper. There isn't much time left for campaign to end. So, the schedules are being stretched up," said Chittaranjan Gagan, RJD spokesperson. On Friday, Yadav was compelled to stay put in Patna owing to inclement weather even as he addressed events through video conferencing. RJD sources said Yadav, RJD's star campaigner and also electioneering for candidates of allies including Congress and Left parties of INDIA bloc, would be addressing over 100 rallies in next nine days till November 9, when campaigning for the second phase polls ends. Each day, Yadav is leaving Patna around 9 am and returning after 6 pm and later in the evening, also holding meetings with party functionaries at block, district and state level through video conferencing, sources said. In 2020, Yadav had addressed around 200 rallies by doing as many as 10-11 rallies per day during the three phase polls, RJD party functionaries recalled. "In 2020, there was more time for campaigning unlike this time, when the period of electioneering has become short owing to various festivals," said Gagan. On Saturday, Yadav will address over 10 rallies in constituencies of Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Siwan, Maharajganj , etc....
