PATNA, Jan. 14 -- Tej Pratap Yadav, estranged elder son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad, on Tuesday, attended the traditional dahi-chura (curd and beaten rice) gathering at the official residence of Bihar's deputy chief minister Vijay Sinha, triggering more speculations about his tilt towards the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Chief minister Nitish Kumar, fellow Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, JD(U) working president Sanjay Kumar Jha and minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha chief Santosh Kumar Suman were among those prominently present. Incidentally, the 37-year-old elder scion of RJD chief, who had contested the last year's Bihar assembly polls under the banner of his new outfit Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) without winning any seat, will himself host a similar feast today (Wednesday) and he has reportedly invited Top NDA leaders, including deputy CM Sinha, Rashtriya Lok Manch (RLM) chief and MP, Upendra Kushwaha, many ministers and also his own father and RJD chief Prasad. Tej Pratap has said that he expects "his father would come to his feast". When Yadav was asked by journalists whether he had any plans to join the NDA, he said: "We may have different political ideologies, but we share the same cultural ethos. As regards other things, you will get to know about it in due course." On his part, Deputy CM Sinha of BJP, on his part, when asked whether Yadav would join the BJP refrained from making a direct reply but did hint that there could be some political churning in the coming days. "As you have already been told, you will get to know when the time comes, "Sinha said. He, however, said that the feast was an occasion when all Biharis stand united, drawing positive energy from the Sanatan culture, which Makar Sankranti is an epitome of. In the last few days, several BJP and JD(U) leaders have also organised feasts to celebrate the Makar Sankranti. On the other hand, the mood is subdued in the RJD camp with reports that no big feast has been planned at the 10, Circular Road residence of the RJD chief and his wife and former chief minister Rabri Devi this year. Similarly, there are also no reports of any such big gathering being hosted by Lalu's younger son and heir apparent Tejashwi Yadav, a senior party leader confirmed....
