PATNA, Dec. 17 -- The Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) on Tuesday conducted raids at four locations linked to Gajadhar Mandal, currently posted as Director (Quality Control, North) in the Building Construction Department (BCD), Darbhanga, in connection with a disproportionate assets case. Mandal is accused of amassing movable and immovable assets far beyond his known sources of income during his service period, allegedly through criminal conspiracy and misuse of his official position. Investigators said the assets did not match his declared income, raising suspicion of corruption. According to the SVU, Mandal allegedly acquired assets worth around Rs.2.82 crore.
