PATNA, Feb. 2 -- Shweta Bharti, a sub- inspector posted at Bihta police station, was put under suspension on charge of slapping a youth. The action was taken by Patna West City SP Bhanu Pratap Singh. Bharti is accused of slapping a young man. The incident was said to be related to a land dispute, said a police officer. The City SP said a video surfaced on social media showing Shweta slapping a young man. The department investigated the matter. "After examining the video, the female police officer was suspended and a detailed investigation has been ordered," he added. He said on January 24, Bihta police station received information from Dial 112 that a dispute was going on regarding a road in Shrirampur village.
