STF rescues abducted man in Bihar's Munger
PATNA, Feb. 9 -- A joint team of special task force (STF) and Munger police on Sunday rescued abducted Rambhawan Kumar and arrested one Prince Kumar in this connection.
Police said that based on technical and scientific investigation, a joint team of STF and Munger police personnel raided at Hero Diara and Maidanichowki police police station areas of Munger and after eight hours of continuous operation, they recovered abducted Rambhawan Kumar.
SDPO Shivam Kumar, Munger, said that after an intensive raid that lasted almost eight hours, the police achieved a major success in which they rescued abducted Rambhavan Kumar, while one of the kidnappers involved in the incident was detained at the scene, he added.
Police said Rambhawan was kidnapped around 8.30pm on Friday. His brother Gulab Yadav told the police that his brother Rambhawan was kidnapped for ransom of Rs.1 lakh.
"During interrogation, it was revealed that six to seven people were involved in this kidnapping. The raids are going on to trace other criminals involved in the case."
"The police investigation also revealed that the kidnapped Rambhavan has a criminal history. He previously served time in jail for a kidnapping case and he was member of a bike theft gang," the SDPO said....
