PATNA, Dec. 14 -- Union minister of state for home affairs Nityanand Rai on Saturday said India and Nepal share a close-knit bond that continues to strengthen with time, rooted in shared culture, traditions and people-to-people ties. He emphasised that the relationship between the two neighbouring countries goes beyond formal diplomatic engagement. He was speaking at the Border for Unity run event organised on the 62nd foundation day of the 47th Corps of the Shashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on Saturday at Raxaul. "India and Nepal have close-knit relations, and this relationship is becoming stronger day by day... We work with the nation and for its citizens, and they do the same for India...People have redefined the close relationship between the two nations...Anyone who sees India and Nepal separately is a fool... There are neither any walls nor any cracks between the two nations... We share a wholehearted relationship," Rai said while interacting with participants. Later talking to the media, Rai also said that any country in the world can't directly compete with India with weapons or ideas. For this reason, anti-India forces are conspiring to ruin the youth of about 60 percent through the drug business. On the question of smuggling, he said that anti-India organizations are trying to lose the revenue of the country through smuggling by misleading the youth, but our soldiers have been able to control it to a large extent. If you get any information related to human trafficking, drug and arms trafficking, please give it to the administration and become a partner in the security system of the country. Nityanand said that the SSB is not limited to border security but is also doing important work among the youth and villagers in the fields of service, security, fraternity, community development, health and education. The purpose of the Border Unity Run is to make the countrymen appear united and not separate. Public participation in the program has realized this objective. He said that the security of the country is not only the responsibility of the government but also the social and family responsibility. It is the duty of every citizen living in the border area to become an associate of the SSB. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is set to become the supreme nation. Rai also stressed that those who planned to create a red corridor from Tirupati to Pashupatinath have failed while asserting that the conspiracy to spread unrest through Naxals is also failing. " Naxalism is counting its last breath under the leadership of Home Minister Amit Shah and the SSB has effectively curbed Naxal activities in the border areas," Rai said. Meanwhile, SSB Inspector General (IG) of Frontier Headquarters, Nishit Kumar Ujjwal, stated that the programme was organised at 74 locations along the Indo-Nepal border. He said the event drew significant participation from youth, SSB personnel and local public representatives, reflecting the enthusiasm of communities residing near border areas. "SSB is celebrating its foundation day. Totally, we are organising this program at 74 places on the Indo-Nepal border." Ujjwal added....
