Nalanda Univ, NETRA sign LoU for research collaboration
PATNA, March 10 -- The Nalanda University and the North Eastern Training, Research and Advocacy Foundation (NETRA) signed a Letter of Understanding (LoU) on Monday, the last day of the two-day Nalanda Development Dialogue (NDD) 2026.
The LoU is aimed at strengthening collaborative research, policy dialogue, and knowledge exchange for sustainable development, particularly focusing on North East India.
The focus of the inaugural edition of the NDD 2026 was North-East India and sustainable development Pathways to ensure inclusive growth with due emphasis on ecological conservation and cultural diversity.
The speakers emphasised key pathways such as promoting agro-ecology, forest-based enterprises, eco-tourism, and stronger local value chains for sustainable livelihoods, besides underlining the need to expand physical, digital, and cross-border connectivity to position the Northeast as India's gateway to Southeast Asia.
