PATNA, Jan. 26 -- A team of STF and Khagaria police on Sunday unearthed an illegal mini gun factory on the banks of Madhopur Patpar Ganga under Parbatta Khagaria police station and arrested three persons involved in manufacturing weapons. An STF officer said acting on confidential information received by the Arms Cell STF, a joint operation was conducted in which an illegal mini gun factory operating along the banks of the Madhopur Patpar Ganga sub-stream was unearthed. The factory was being run as a partnership between Faujdari Mandal, of Kalyan Tola Bariarpur, Munger and Mohd Rinku of Mirzapur Bardah, Munger. During the raid, three were caught red-handed manufacturing weapons. The police recovered two country-made pistols, two semi-finished pistols, and a large quantity of weapon-making equipment and tools from the site, the STF officer said.
