SUPAUL, March 31 -- Four bike-borne miscreants allegedly shot and stabbed a 30-year-old man to death at a tea stall on National Highway-327 in Supaul district on Sunday evening, police said. The victim, identified as Rajesh Sharma alias Rajesh Sutihar, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. He was a resident of Kathara village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Kishanpur police station in the district. Upon receiving information about the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sarath RS reached the spot and initiated an investigation. Tea stall owner Suraj Sah said he heard a gunshot just before the incident. "As soon as I went inside to bring water, four criminals came and committed the crime," he told the police, adding that they fled immediately after the attack. SHO Gyan Ranjan Kumar said no gunshot injuries were found on the body. "We are awaiting the postmortem report, which will clarify the exact cause of death," he said.
