MADHUBANI, Jan. 21 -- A teacher has been accused of molesting girl students and indulging in obscene acts at a middle school under the Khajauli police station area of Madhubani district. After an FIR (13/26) under POCSO Act had been lodged in the case, a special investigation team has been constituted under the supervision of SDPO Sadar-2. The superintendent of police, Yogendra Kumar said on Tuesday a letter has also been sent to the district education officer (DEO) concerned recommending the suspension of the accused teacher from service. The statements of girl and her parents have also been recorded. Besides, she was subjected to medical examination. The incident came to light on January 17 after a video showing women thrashing the teacher with slippers inside the school premises went viral on social media.
