JKEDI set to hold startup facilitation meetings at district-level
Jammu, April 27 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute is set to organise district-level credit facilitation meetings under District Business Reform Action Plan (D-BRAP), in a significant push to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Union Territory, an official said on Sunday.
These meetings, scheduled to be held on April 27 in Anantnag and Jammu and on April 28 in Udhampur and Shopian, form a key component of implementation strategy of the Jammu & Kashmir Startup Policy 2024-27, which envisions building a vibrant, innovation-driven and inclusive startup ecosystem, the official said. He said the Startup Policy has been designed to promote entrepreneurship by extending institutional support, financial assistance and capacity-building opportunities to the aspiring entrepreneurs and emerging startups.
With a focus on decentralization and grassroots outreach, the adoption of D-BRAP aims to enhance ease of doing business at district level while ensuring startup support mechanisms are accessible to all, the official said, adding that District Offices of JKEDI have been designated as District Startup Cells, serving as the first point of contact for entrepreneurs.
