BUXAR, May 21 -- Former IPS officer Anand Mishra resigned from the post of youth wing president of the Jan Suraaj party's state unit on Tuesday. The resignation was confirmed by Mishra himself in a conversation with HT. Citing discomfort with the party's working style, Mishra said, "I was unable to adjust to the party's functioning. Thus, I sent my resignation to the state president." He clarified that he has only stepped down from the party post and continues to be a member of the party. When asked about the possibility of joining the BJP in the future, Mishra remarked, "Politics is a game of possibilities," hinting at potential realignments. A former IPS officer, Mishra served in Assam and was popularly known as the "Singham of Assam."
