PATNA, Jan. 12 -- A three-day Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (FALS) course on hernia management concluded on Sunday with an online examination, marking the final leg of an intensive academic and hands-on training programme aimed at improving surgical care, particularly at the peripheral and rural levels of Bihar. Dr Manish Mandal, course coordinator of FALS, said the concluding day featured an app-based online multiple-choice examination in which 56 candidates appeared. Successful candidates will be awarded their fellowship degrees at the national convocation scheduled to be held on February 15, 2026, in Mumbai. In addition, 24 participants in the non-examination category appeared for a viva voce and will also receive fellowship degrees at the same convocation, said Dr Mandal....
