GAYA JI, Jan. 11 -- A girl and her family members allegedly killed a 22-year-old boy when his family did not accept their marriage at Pattal Bigha locality under Magadh Medical police station area of Gaya Ji town on Saturday, police said. Ankit Yadav alias Lalu Yadav, 22, son of Rishi Yadav of Bhatt Bigha locality has left his house after a phone call on Friday. His body with two bullet injuries in head, was found near Pattal Bigha on Saturday. A pistol and an empty bullet shell was also found near the body. Rishi Yadav, an employee in a local college, alleged that his son had recently passed graduation. His brother-in-law's daughter Riya had one sided love with his son. Girl's family was pressurising for marriage but the boy and his family members were not ready for such mariage against social norms. Yadav said that a Panchayat was also held in this matter and it tried to convince the girl's family to not press on their demand. But the girl's mother and maternal grandmother remained adamant on the marriage, saying that if the marriage did not take place, they would kill the boy. "We did not take the threat seriously, but ultimately the girl herself called my son as part of a conspiracy and then he was shot dead. We had no enmity with anyone. There can be no other reason for Ankit's murder. My son was murdered somewhere else and his body was dumped at the place as only a few blood stains were found at the scene", the father said.
