Khalkho declared that she will formally file her nomination papers on Tuesday at 12:30 PM.
Addressing media persons, Khalkho stated that her primary objective is to strengthen the municipal corporation to ensure the delivery of transparent and effective services. If elected, she pledged to prioritise urban development, sanitation, and the improvement of basic amenities for the common citizens.
"The public has witnessed my work during my previous term, and I seek their blessings and support once again to serve the city with diligence and honesty," she said.
Recalling her tenure after being elected Mayor in 2008, Khalkho highlighted her experience in handling public concerns and her commitment to public good through the municipal framework. She expressed strong confidence that her record of service and previous development initiatives would resonate with voters in the upcoming polls.
"In 2008, with the cooperation and blessings of the people, I was elected Mayor, and during that time, I worked diligently and honestly for the public good through the municipal corporation. The public had witnessed and experienced my work. If I receive the public's support again, my first priority will be to strengthen the municipal corporation and provide better, transparent, and effective services to the common citizens through it. I will pay special attention to issues related to the city's development, sanitation, basic amenities, and public concerns," she said.
The announcement was made in the presence of several prominent leaders, including Media Chairman of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee Satish Paul Munjani, Metropolitan President of Congress Kumar Raja, and State OBC President of Congress Abhilash Sahu.
