PATNA, Feb. 23 -- Deputy chief minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Sunday said that transparent governance and structural reforms are foundational for Bihar's transformation and he was striving to take it forward in his department to make it easier for the people. "Systematic efforts are being undertaken to resolve long-pending land and revenue disputes, as clarity in land ownership and administrative efficiency are essential prerequisites for industrial investment and start-up expansion," he added. He was speaking at the Bihar Development Summit 2026 organised by Let's Inspire Bihar (LIB) movement at the Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. He praised Vikas Vaibhav's efforts for mobilising more than three lakh people for a common developmental goal. Union minister Giriraj Singh said that Bihar has historically been an intellectual and civilisational nucleus of India and must now reclaim its rightful place in the economic and industrial landscape of the country. "The sectors such as textiles, MSMEs, and rural industries have immense potential to generate large-scale employment in Bihar and reduce migration," he said. Industry minister Dilip Jaiswal called the summit as a serious and policy-oriented platform that complements the government's developmental agenda. "Let's Inspire Bihar has succeeded in creating a structured ecosystem connecting entrepreneurs, policymakers, and youth. Bihar's investor-friendly policies, improved connectivity, and focus on start-up promotion are critical steps toward reversing migration and strengthening local employment opportunities. Entrepreneurship-led growth is the key to building a self-reliant Bihar," he added.
