GAYAJI, Feb. 23 -- Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Gaya police foiled a Maoist plot of attacking forces and recovered a huge quantity of high-grade explosives from a hideout during a joint search operation in hilly forests under Naxal affected Lutua police station area of Gaya district, police said on Sunday. Officials believe that such a large quantity of explosives indicates preparations for a major attack or targeting security forces. The explosives were safely destroyed at the place except for some samples for lab tests. Following reliable information about Maoist hiding explosives in the forests under Lutua area, the search and destroy operation was launched under CRPF D/215 battalion assistant commandant Sanjeet Kumar Pandey and Imamganj SDPO Kamlesh Kumar. Forces zeroed in a Laduiya hill cave after seven hours long searches in Bhusia, Mahadev Sthan, Balibathan, Shikari Kuan, Gulria Tari and Singhwara forest areas.
