Bihar official held while accepting Rs.5L bribe
PATNA, Feb. 7 -- The Vigilance Investigation Bureau (VIB) on Friday arrested a government official while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.5 lakh. The VIB team raided the employment exchange office premises and arrested assistant director Paramjay Singh while accepting the money. Vigilance officials said one Om Prakash Ram of Muzaffarpur had complained that the official was demanding Rs.10 lakh in lieu of disposing of a pending file.
A raiding team led by DSP Pawan Kumar arrested him from the north area of the parking slot of the office, officials said....
