PATNA, Oct. 30 -- A group of people attacked HAM(S) [Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular)] candidate Anil Kumar Singh and his supporters when they arrived in Tikari Assembly constituency for campaigning. The MLA termed the incident as a conspiracy by RJD. The incident took place on Wednesday evening at Dighaura village of Koch police station in Gayaji district. The MLA and his four supporters also suffered minor injuries in the attack. According to locals, when the leader reached the spot, the villagers started questioning him on issues of road construction, which later turned into a sharp debate. In this sequence, some antisocial elements present in the crowd suddenly started throwing stones and allegedly fired at Anil Kumar and his supporters. Kumar He receives injuries to his head and hand while his vehicle was also damaged. Singh was rushed to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital for treatment amid security arrangements.
