Jamshedpur, May 3 -- Another police constable posted in the accounts wing of the Bokaro SP office has been arrested even as the SIT of Jharkhand CID has traced money trail of Rs.10 crore so far in the Bokaro treasury scam under police salary head, officials said on Saturday. "The ongoing SIT investigation into the illegal withdrawals from the Bokaro treasury has so far traced the money trail of Rs.10 crore. The SIT has also arrested another police constable Kajal Mandal, posted in the accounts section of the Bokaro SP office," the state CID informed in a press statement on Saturday. The CID further informed that Rs.8.75 lakh had been seized from Kajal Mandal's Bokaro residence on the basis of her confessional statement. "This amount was sent to her from the account of arrested main accused accountant Kaushal Kumar Pandey and withdrawals on account of TA bills. In addition, fixed deposits of Rs.1.93 crore and Rs.18 lakh in various banks have been freezed and property papers for a three-story building of arrested ASI Ashok Kumar Bhandari on 4.08 decimal landed plot in Telidih (Bokaro) and another plot of 4.98 decimal in Telidih have been seized," a senior CID officer told HT on Saturday....
