BETTIAH, July 17 -- Bihar's East Champaran district administration has mandated the closure of all private and government-run schools, coaching institutes, and anganwadi centres on July 18 in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Motihari on Friday. In an official notification, dated July 15, district magistrate (DM) Saurabh Jorwal cited the possibility of inconvenience to the students due to heavy traffic load on the road arising out of public gathering during PM's visit to the district headquarters at Motihari and extreme hot condition as reasons behind the closure of the academic institutions. "So,the academic works in all academic institutions are being suspended under civil defence code," said the notification, undersigned by the district magistrate. PM Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting at Gandhi Maidan ground in Motihari on July 18 during his sixth visit to the state this year alone and, to be precise, 53rd in last 11 years.
