RANCHI, Feb. 24 -- A major aviation accident occurred on Monday evening as an air ambulance, transporting a patient from Ranchi to Delhi, crashed in the dense Kasiatu forest near Jhumri Bagi village under the Simaria police station limits. The aircraft, operated by Red Bird Aviation, took off from Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi at approximately 7:07 PM. According to aviation officials, the flight was a medical evacuation mission bound for the national capital. The Air Traffic Control (ATC) reported that all communication with the pilot was lost at 7:34 PM, just 27 minutes into the flight. Shortly after contact was severed, the plane went down in the rugged terrain of the Simaria block. Seven individuals were on the manifest at the time of the crash, including a patient being transferred for specialised treatment, two medical professionals -- a doctor and another a paramedic -- two attendants and two pilots....
