Raipur, Oct. 20 -- Two jawans of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were killed and two other policemen were injured in an IED blast planted by Maoists in Narayanpur district on Saturday, police officers said. Both jawans belonged to the 53rd battalion of the ITBP deployed in the district. Police said that the blast took place at around 12.10pm in Abujhmaad forest near Kodliyar village. A statement issued by the Narayanpur police said that joint teams of ITBP, BSF and DRG were conducting an anti-Maoist operation when one of the teams returning were hit by a blast in the village.
