Ahmedabad, April 28 -- An unemployed man was arrested on Monday for strangling his 39-year-old dietician wife, sealing her body in a cement-filled wooden box and filing a missing complaint to mislead the police, before a written confession blew his cover. According to police, Vishal Rameshbhai Savli, a resident of Ghodasar in Surat, strangled and killed Shilpa, 39, on April 20 and hid her body at their native house in the Salabatpura area. Inspector RA Jadeja said, "The accused then placed the body inside a wooden box and sealed it with cement and soil to destroy evidence. The structure was broken open by police on Sunday, and the body was recovered in a decomposed state." The accused was traced to Antroli village, around 25 km from the crime scene on Sunday and was arrested on Monday. "The accused had filed a missing complaint earlier. He later wrote a confession note and gave it to his child, who handed it over to the victim's father," The father then filed a complaint alleging his daughter was murdered by Vishal.HTC...
