MUMBAI, Feb. 6 -- An unidentified senior citizen has been booked for allegedly making obscene gestures at a woman travelling in the ladies' compartment of a Central Railway local train on Thursday. According to the police, the incident occurred while the complainant was travelling from Dadar to Thane. She had boarded the ladies' compartment, which was adjacent to the coach reserved for persons with disabilities. While she was looking at her mobile phone, she noticed an elderly man standing in the neighbouring disabled compartment, allegedly making obscene gestures towards her. "As the train halted at Mulund railway station, the woman tried to locate the accused, but he had already fled by then, taking advantage of the crowd on the platform," said a police officer. She later alighted at Thane railway station and approached the government railway police, following which a case of molestation was registered against the unidentified accused. The investigation was later transferred to the Kurla Railway Police. "The accused escaped from Mulund station. We are scanning CCTV footage from the station and nearby areas to identify and trace him," said Sambhaji Yadav, senior police inspector, Kurla GRP....
