Raina, Chaudhari exit in Mumbai Open R1
Mumbai, Feb. 3 -- Ankita Raina and Vaidehee Chaudhari were handed first round defeats in their respective matches at the WTA 125 L&T Mumbai Open.
Raina, playing in the main draw as a lucky loser, lost 4-6, 0-6 to Japan's Misaki Matsuda.
Later, Chaudhari lost 2-6, 0-6 to third seed Leolia Jeanjean.
The remaining four Indians in the singles draw - Sahaja Yamalapalli, Shrivalli Bhamidipaty, Vaishnavi Adkar and last year's semi-finalist Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi - will begin their campaign on Tuesday.
Arya Khetri scored 52 to help RR Education Trust earn a 57-run win over Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel Vividlaksh Vidyalaya in their Girls U-16 Manoramabai Apte Trophy match on Monday.
In the 10 over per team match, RR Education batted first to score 160/1 before restricting their opponents to 103/1 to secure the win....
