India, Feb. 1 -- Ex-RBI governor Raghuram Rajan on Tuesday met Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray at his Bandra residence amidst speculations that he could be a Congress or MVA candidate for Rajya Sabha elections from the state. While Sena (UBT) said the meeting was conducted out of courtesy, it has raised eyebrows in political circles since it was held ahead of Rajya Sabha election which is on February 27. A Sena (UBT) leader told HT that Rajan could be projected as an MVA candidate for Rajya Sabha from Congress subject to the final decision by the Congress high command.
