Dnyandeep Seva Mandal defeat SVIS to win Giles Shield
Mumbai, Jan. 23 -- Dnyandeep Seva Mandal Primary and Secondary School were crowned champions of the 124th MSSA U-14 Giles Shield after they beat Swami Vivekanand International SSC by four wickets in the final at Brabourne Stadium on Thursday.
Resuming Day 3, Swami Vivekanand put up 178/8 in 40 overs, with Shauryakant Upadhyaya top-scoring with 94. Chasing 125 in 40 overs, Dnyandeep got there in 34.3 overs with four wickets to spare. Atharva Kalel top scored with 56. The presentation was graced by India's 1983 World Cup-winner Sandeep Patil as the chief guest.
