MUMBAI, April 27 -- A 24-year-old delivery executive was arrested for allegedly showing pornographic content to a 12-year-old girl while delivering a parcel in Malad West. According to the police, the accused, Mohammed Upesh Ansari, works for a saree showroom in Malad. The incident occurred on Saturday evening after the victim's mother ordered a saree and Ansari arrived to deliver it. Since she didn't have cash to pay for the saree, she asked her daughter to go to a neighbourhood shop to arrange the amount while Ansari accompanied her. "After returning, the girl began crying and told her mother that the delivery man had shown her obscene videos on his phone while they were out," said a police officer. The woman then informed her husband, who confronted the accused at the showroom before approaching the police. Based on his complaint, the police registered a case against Ansari under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. Subsequently, he was arrested and his phone was seized and sent for forensic analysis. "We are finding out whether he has done such an act before," the officer added....
