MUMBAI, Feb. 15 -- A 51-year-old woman was killed on Thursday after a speeding dumper truck hit her while she was crossing the road with her daughter in Powai. The victim, Bhagyawanti Devbanshi, was crossing Chandivali Farm Road near Buddh Vihar at around 8:45pm when the heavy vehicle knocked her down. She was dragged under the rear wheel and sustained fatal head injuries. Her daughter, Aanchal, 22, immediately alerted the police. Devbanshi was then rushed to a nearby hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival. The Powai police arrested the dumper driver, 30-year-old Allauddin Mohammad Sheikh and booked him for causing death by negligence under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita....
