27 still missing after blaze in Kolkata momo warehouse
kolkata, Jan. 30 -- At least 27 people remain missing after a devastating fire gutted two warehouses near Kolkata earlier this week, triggering a political slugfest between the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the ruling Trinamool Congress.
The BJP on Thursday demanded the resignation of the fire services minister. The Mamata Banerjee-led government, on the other hand, accused the BJP of politicising the tragedy ahead of the assembly polls.
The toll in the incident, which took place at Nazirabad, a wetland area, on January 26, remains unknown even as police said they have recovered 21 body parts, including five on Thursday, from the site.
