1 dead, 2 hurt as two-wheeler on the wrong side hits truck
MUMBAI, Feb. 7 -- One person died and two others were injured after a two-wheeler travelling on the wrong side collided with a truck on the Ghatkopar-Andheri Link Road.
The police said the accident occurred around 8 pm on January 28. The deceased was identified as Manthan Bhalerao. His friend, Nitin Patwa, was riding the two-wheeler, while Bhalerao and another friend Rajat Sharma were riding pillion.
According to the police, the truck driver, Kerba Kamble, reported that the two-wheeler was driving on the wrong side of the road when it hit the truck and came under the vehicle.
In a separate incident, Hrishikesh Gaikwad, 24, a resident of Ulwe in Navi Mumbai, was found dead after an unidentified vehicle rammed into his two-wheeler on the Chembur-Santacruz Link Road near the CSMT bridge in Kurla West.
The police said the accident took place late at night on February 2. Gaikwad lived with his uncle, Santosh Gaikwad. A case has been registered against an unknown vehicle driver, an officer said....
