Woman, paramour held for killing man in Etah
Agra, Feb. 17 -- Three persons, including the wife and paramour, were arrested on Monday for killing a man in Etah village.
The deceased was a stamp vendor at the court premises of Etah and resided in Awas Vikas Colony in the city with his wife and son.
Through surveillance, the cops got clues about the accused and arrested them, said Shwetabh Pandey, ASP Etah who addressed the media.
As per reports, an unidentified body was found near a liquor vend on a road leading to village Agraiyya within limits of Jainthra police station of Etah district on February 14. Prima facie, it appeared that the person died after consuming liquor. The deceased was later identified as Hemant (45) from Etah city.
Post mortem was conducted and cremation was done on Sunday by the family members.
Vasant, the brother of the deceased, lodged an FIR at Jainthra police station for murder under section 103(1) along with section 238/61 of BNS at Jainthra police station of Etah against the wife of the deceased, one Sumit Kumar and an unidentified person.
The police team, after probe and surveillance, arrested the wife, her paramour Sumit Kumar and co-accused Ajay on Monday and recovered a car used in the crime, three empty bottles and a poisonous spray used in killing Hemant Kumar.
Police on Monday informed the media persons that Sumit Kumar was a friend of the deceased and used to visit his house when he developed close relationship with his wife. The wife hatched a conspiracy to kill Hemant along with Sumit Kumar and Ajay. They hired a car on February 13 to attend a marriage.
On the way, Hemant was offered liquor and a poisonous spray was used to kill him. His body was dumped in a village, stated the press statement issued by Etah police....
