Woman, her visually impaired son found murdered
Lucknow, March 10 -- A 45-year-old woman and her 18-year-old son were found murdered under suspicious circumstances at their house in the Mohanlalganj area of Lucknow late Monday night, police said.
The bodies were found inside their home after relatives alerted the police when repeated calls to the family went unanswered.
"The deceased have been identified as Reshma (45) and her son Shadab (18), who was partially blind," said ADCP South Vasanth Rallapalli, who reached at the site. Reshma was living with her son and running a small general store to support the family. The incident came to light when Reshma's brother-in-law, Muneesh, called her around 7.30 pm. The call was answered by Shadab, who reportedly told him that someone was kicking at the door of their house. When Muneesh asked about his mother, Shadab said she had gone to the nearby general store.
However, when Muneesh tried calling again later, there was no response. Sensing something was wrong, he asked a relative, Shakina, who lives nearby, to check on them. When she reached the house, she found the door bolted from outside and immediately informed the local police outpost. A police team rushed to the spot and forced open the door. Inside, they found the bodies of Reshma and Shadab lying in a room. Police said the woman's body was found in a semi-nude condition.
ACP, Mohanlalganj, Vikas Pandey, said that several angles, including personal enmity and other possible motives, are being examined.htc...
