Carrying placards, the employees marched from the Vikas Nagar Sector-14 power house to the nearby police station and raised slogans against the administration. They claimed that instead of taking action against the accused, police were summoning power department employees for questioning. Police intervened when the protest intensified, after which the workers dispersed peacefully. However, employees said their morale had been shaken and demanded strict action. The incident The protest stems from an incident on Wednesday when a woman reportedly called the control room to complain about a power outage at her residence. According to officials, staff asked for her connection number and billing details to process the complaint. Allegedly angered by the request, she disconnected the call and later arrived at the substation with another person.
