WB guv stresses civilisational wisdom of India at AMU meet
Agra, Feb. 15 -- West Bengal governor CV Ananda Bose addressed the inaugural session of a three-day international conference at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) titled "Decolonising a Discipline: India's Civilisational Insights for a Global International Relations", highlighting India's enduring civilisational wisdom and its relevance to contemporary global discourse and international relations.
Reflecting on India's intellectual and cultural legacy, Bose cited observations by renowned Western thinkers such as Arnold Toynbee, Mark Twain and Albert Einstein, noting that India's civilisational depth has long been acknowledged worldwide.
He referred to the ancient strategist Kautilya and his doctrine of Shadgunya, the six measures of foreign policy, which, he said, offers a comprehensive and pragmatic framework for managing international relations through strategic flexibility guided by national strength....
