Wanted accused in cow-slaughter case with Rs 50K reward arrested
PRAYAGRAJ, April 1 -- The STF on Tuesday morning arrested Mohd Ibrahim, a wanted accused in a cow-slaughter case and carrying a reward of Rs.50,000 on his head. The accused was caught from the Shivkuti area, where he had been hiding for a long time, police officials said.
The STF received information that the accused, wanted in a case registered at Delhupur police station, Pratapgarh, was present in the Shivkuti area. Acting on this, the team laid a siege near Azad Market, close to Teliarganj Chowk, on Tuesday morning and apprehended him.
Mohd Ibrahim, a resident of Ahmedpur Asrauli Hatwa in the Puramufti area, along with his associates, on January 17 had stolen cattle from Barsanda village in Pratapgarh, killed them, and disposed of the remains in a river. After the case was registered he had been absconding. A reward of Rs.50,000 had been announced for his capture. htc...
